Robert A. Bonomo, MD, FIDSA, is associate chief of staff for academic affairs and a Distinguished University Professor of Medicine, Pharmacology, Molecular Biology and Microbiology, Biochemistry and Proteomics at Case Western Reserve University and the Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center. He is also director of the Coordinating Center for the VA Science and Health Initiative to Combat Infectious and Emerging Life-Threatening Diseases, the Cleveland Geriatric Research and Education Clinical Care Center and the CWRU-Cleveland VAMC Center for Antimicrobial Resistance and Epidemiology.
