The curricula is also available in a self-study version for CME/MOC/CPE credits.

  • The course "Primer on Healthcare Epidemiology, Infection Control & Antimicrobial Stewardship: Online ID Fellows" is a product of the membership of the Society of Healthcare Epidemiology of America (SHEA) and is endorsed by Infectious Disease Society of America (IDSA) and Pediatric Infectious Disease Society (PIDS).

Opportunities

The four-year pilot program streamlines a career path for applicants interested in both the ID fellowship and EIS program. Learn more and begin planning for this new opportunity.

  • Not sure if the infectious disease specialty is for you? IDSA members share their subspecialties in infectious diseases.

  • Information on funding and research programs for students at all levels.

  • The Infectious Diseases Society of America (IDSA), the Society for Healthcare Epidemiology of America (SHEA), and the Pediatric Infectious Diseases Society (PIDS), have joined together to create the Leaders in Epidemiology, Antimicrobial stewardship, and Public health (LEAP) Fellowship.

  • Get a personal guide through IDWeek, the premier international scientific meeting of healthcare professionals in infectious diseases and healthcare epidemiology and prevention. With nearly 6,000 professionals in attendance, IDWeek can be overwhelming. Instead of going it alone, participate in the IDSA Foundation's IDWeek Mentorship Program and connect with leaders in the field who can help you make the most of the conference and your career.
