Valéry Lavergne, MD, MSc, FRCPC, is a Canadian infectious diseases and medical microbiology specialist as well as a guideline methodologist. For the last 15 years, she was an active member of the GRADE working group and led the development of various clinical practice guidelines, partnering with several prestigious medical societies. Since 2017, she has served as the senior guideline methodologist for the IDSA Clinical Affairs and Practice guideline Department, and currently co-chairs the 2025 IDSA guideline on management and treatment of complicated urinary tract infection.
