Spotlighting our strengths, strategies and solutions
In many ways, the COVID-19 pandemic affirmed what our Society already knew: infectious diseases have always been, and will continue to be, one of the greatest challenges facing humanity’s future. These past few years have intensified the importance of ID and the urgency of IDSA’s priorities — from strengthening the workforce to championing fair compensation, driving progress on antimicrobial resistance and developing guidelines to improve clinical care. As the public health emergency comes to a close and we enter a new phase of the pandemic, it’s crucial that the field of ID stays front of mind. Using the past four years as a catalyst, it’s time to spotlight the strengths of our Society, move the needle on our strategic priorities and let the world know that we’re on the case.
